DNA-MILE is a proprietary genetic assessment which empowers parents and educators with an early discovery of children’s innate and in-depth insights into what makes each child unique.

The DNA-MILE report provides insights on a child’s individual genetic makeup in relation to their multiple intelligences profile. Our report analysis highlights the child’s Multiple Intelligences Profile such as:

DNA, deoxyribonucleic acid in long, is present in almost every cell in your body. It is made up of repetitive units of nucleotides composing of a deoxyribose sugar, a phosphate group, and a nitrogenous base that can be either adenine (A), guanine (G), cytosine (C), or thymine (T). DNA contains all necessary information to build and maintain an organism. Although there is only around 0.1% difference between your DNA as compared to the stranger sitting next to you, this small variation contributes to significant differences including skin colour, height, intelligence, personality, and even disease risk.

SNPs, single nucleotide polymorphisms in long, is the variation of nucleotides at one position in a DNA sequence among individuals. SNPs are one of the major factors that lead to the 0.1% difference among people.

DNA testing is a powerful tool for prediction of a person’s traits. It analyses genetic variations such as SNPs, which are the most common type of genetic variation among people to make predictions about a persons’ disease risk or intelligence. Using a non-science approach to explain SNPs, just like how replacement of ‘s’ with ‘b’ totally changes the meaning of this sentence: ‘I am sad’, to ‘I am bad’, SNPs alter the physical and chemical characteristics of its product, protein. Protein plays a big role in our body. It involves in biological processes such as digesting the eggs you ate this morning, transporting oxygen from your lung to your toes, and coordinating your eyes and your brain so that you can understand this explanation. SNPs can cause no effect, mild changes to severe consequences. A classic example of defective SNP is sickle cells anaemia. Polymorphism of adenine nucleotide at the haemoglobin beta (HBB) gene results in sickled shape red blood cells that have reduced efficiency in carrying oxygen.

In Garden Genesis, our scientists performed rigorous processes to evaluate all the reported evidence to deliver the best prediction results.

Utilising Illumina genotyping technology, our genetic testing’s analytical validity is 99.9%. Our proprietary algorithm analyses research-proven genetic variants and we refer to a large Asian reference database to ensure accurate results interpretation. In addition, our algorithm is proven to have high predictive validity (70-80%) for the tested intelligences.

As a person’s genetic makeup doesn’t change over time, there is no need to retake the test again. However, research is still ongoing so the interpretation of your data and recommendations will be updated with the new findings. We will stay connected with our customers and update you with new results or findings.

All DNA extraction and genotyping are performed in an international accredited lab in Singapore. To date, our lab partner has processed close to 1,000,000 DNA samples.

DNA-MILE is recommended for children aged 0-6 years old. An interested parent or guardian may order DNA-MILE on behalf of his or her child. Parents or guardians have to read the Garden Genesis’s Terms of Service, sign the consent form and read the manual in the DNA-MILE kit carefully and use it appropriately.

To safeguard your personal information (“Personal Data”) from unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risks, we have implemented generally accepted standards of technology and operational security to secure all storage and transmission of Personal Data by us, and disclosing Personal Data both internally and to our authorised third party service providers and agents only on a need-to-know basis.

Our Privacy Policy complies with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of the Singapore Statutes (“PDPA”) and applies to the access and use of Garden Genesis’s Services. You may refer to our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, disclose and process any Personal Data as governed by the PDPA.

Your child’s report will be ready in 4-6 weeks. We will send you a message or an email to notify you this.

We provide complimentary video/phone consultation to help you understand your results well with our experienced consultant team.

We provide a one-time free replacement in the event if your child’s sample fails to meet our lab requirements. If the second attempt to process the second sample remains unsuccessful, Garden Genesis team will contact you to provide assistance and explore alternative options.

Kindly ensure that no food or drink are to be consumed 1 hour before collecting the sample.

If you have not received your DNA-MILE kit after one-week, please immediately email info@thegardengenesis with your order number and email address.

The DNA-MILE kit will be mailed to your mailing address via Singpost. Kindly ensure that your mailing address is accurate during checkout .

We aim to mail out your order within 5 working days upon successful payment. It may take approximately 2-7 working days for your order to reach you after we have mailed your order.

Our DNA-MILE kits consist of a buccal swab for the collection of your DNA, a sample collection guideline for assisting you with your DNA collection needs, a specimen bag for you to place your collected DNA sample, and a returning envelope for you to mail back your sample to us.

You will need to collect your child’s inner cheek DNA on both left and right sides for about 30 seconds to 1 minute each. Make sure that you DO NOT eat or drink for 1 hour before you collect your DNA sample.

Refer to the sample collection guideline in the kit for full instruction.

Your child’s DNA sample will not be processed until the registration procedures are completed. Please be sure to create an account and register your child’s kit on the Garden Genesis mobile app before you mail the sample.

After the collection of your inner cheek DNA sample, you can mail it back to us at our address at :

Your DNA-MILE results are available on the Garden Genesis mobile app. You can access your child’s personalised report and early learning resources by logging into your mobile app account.

In addition, you are encouraged to attend our workshops and webinars to learn more about how to customise your child’s learning based on his/her unique DNA insights. Our team of early childhood professionals are here to help you make actionable customised learning plans for your child.

You do not have to be an expert to understand the report. DNA-MILE report will be provided with an easy-to-understand explanation for you.

SMILE is an app designed for tracking children's developmental milestones, monitoring their developmental progress, and providing personalized and differentiated activities. It helps parents and educators stay informed and take action regarding a child's growth and development.

DNA-MILE (DNA-based Multiple Intelligences Evaluation), is a one-time assessment that is a one-time assessment that generates a comprehensive report detailing an individual's multiple intelligences profile. This evaluation provides valuable insights into a person's strengths and dominant areas of intelligence, facilitating personalized and differentiated education planning.

From the DNA-MILE report, the dominant intelligences of your child will be discovered. Using this strength together with the result from the SMILE tracking app, an AI-powered personalized learning plan can be generated to nurture your child’s fullest potential.

The best age to use SMILE would be 6 months to 6 years old. It is best to start early as experiences gained especially during the first six years of life play a crucial role in shaping a child's subsequent cognitive, social, and emotional development. (LeadKid, 2019)
